PART 2 - PRODUCTS
03 MATERIALS
A. Nameplates: Engraved three-layer laminated plastic, white letters on a black background.
B. Wire and Cable Markers: Split sleeve or tubing type.
C. Paint: As specified in other Sections of these Specifications.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
04 INSTALLATION
A. Degrease and clean surfaces to receive nameplates.
B. Install nameplates parallel to lines.
C. Secure nameplates to fronts using screws or rivets. Secure nameplate to inside face of recessed panelboard doors in finished locations.
05 WIRE IDENTIFICATION
A. Provide wire markers on each conductor in panelboard gutters, pull boxes, and at load connection. Identify with branch circuit or feeder number for power and lighting circuits, and with control wire number as indicated on manufacturer's shop drawings for control wiring.
06 NAMEPLATE ENGRAVING
A. Provide nameplates of minimum letter height as indicated below.
B. Panelboards, Switchboards and Motor Control Centers: 1/4 inch; identify designation. 1/8 inch; identify voltage rating and source.
C. Individual Circuit Breakers, Switches, and Motor Starters In Distribution Panelboards, Switchboards, and Motor Control Centers: 1/8 inch; identify circuit and load served, including location.
D. Individual Circuit Breakers, Enclosed Switches, and Motor Starters: 1/8 inch; identify load served.
E. Transformers: 1/4 inch; identify designation. 1/8 inch; identify primary and secondary voltages, primary source, and secondary load and location.
07 EMERGENCY POWER SYSTEM COLOR CODING
A. Color coding shall be in accordance with NEC Article 700-9(a).
