1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Filter media shall be ANSI/UL 900 listed, Class 1 or Class 2, as approved by local authorities.
B. Provide all filters as product of one manufacturer.
C. Assemble filter components to form filter banks from products of one manufacturer.
1.05 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit [shop drawings and] product data under provisions of Section 01300 on filter media, filter performance data, filter assembly and filter frames.
B. Submit samples under provisions of Section 01300.
1.06 OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA
A. Submit operation and maintenance data under provisions of Section 01730.
1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Store and protect products under provisions of Section 01600.

2.02 WASHABLE PERMANENT PANEL FILTERS
A. Media: 14 mesh stainless steel, alternate layers of flat and herringbone crimp, four layers per inch (25 mm); rod reinforced; enclosed in 16 gage (1.5 mm) galvanized steel 20 gage (0.90 mm) frame; nominal size 24 x 24 inches (610 x 610 mm) x one inch (25 mm) thick or as indicated on drawings.
B. Rating: 500 FPM (2.54 m/sec) face velocity, 0.10 inches (25 Pa) WG initial resistance, 0.50 inch WG (125 Pa) recommended final resistance.
C. Holding Frames: 20 gage (0.90 mm) minimum stainless frame with expanded metal grid on outlet side and steel rod grid on inlet side, hinged with pull and retaining handles.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install air cleaning devices in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
B. Prevent passage of unfiltered air around filters with felt, rubber, or neoprene gaskets.
C. Do not operate fan system until filters (temporary or permanent) are in place. Replace temporary filters used during construction.
