BUILDING SIGNAGE
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Building Signage including individually mounted letters.
1.02 RELATED SECTIONS
A. Section 10441-Plastic Signs: Interior signage.
1.03 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit shop drawings under provisions of Section 01300.
B. Submit shop drawings listing sign styles, lettering and locations and overall dimensions of each engraved sign.
C. Submit samples under provisions of Section 01300.
D. Submit two samples illustrating full size sample of type, style and color specified including method of attachment.
E. Submit manufacturer's installation instructions under provisions of Section 01300.
F. Include installation template and hardware.
1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Deliver products to site under provisions of Section 01600.
B. Store and protect products under provisions of Section 01600.
C. Package signs, labelled in name groups.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.01 MANUFACTURERS
A. Andco Industries Corp.
B. Spanjer Brothers.
C. Substitutions: Under provisions of Section 01600.
D. Cast aluminum letters and numbers: alloy to suit finish and protective covering, smooth flat surfaces, sharp corners and accurate profiles.
1. Letters and numbers: 6 inches high Helvetica Medium style surface mounting type to mount one inch away from face of wall.
E. Finish: Flouorpolymer finish with 70 percent minimum Kynar 500 resins (as developed by the Penwalt Corp). Color to be selected by the Engineer.
F. Provide letters as noted on the contract drawings.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify that surfaces are ready to receive work.
B. Beginning of installation means installer accepts existing surfaces.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
B. Install letters and numerals after surfaces are finished, in locations indicated and as directed by the Engineer.
C. Clean and polish.
