TEMPORARY PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL AND AIR CIRCULATION SYSTEMS
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS:
All systems utilized should at a minimum provided adequate ventilation to control personnel exposure to hazardous airborne materials in accordance with Section 01016 - Safety During Construction, and applicable OSHA Regulations.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 MATERIALS:
Local exhaust ventilation systems shall be designed, constructed, installed, and maintained in accordance with ANSI Z9.2.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 USE OF VENTILATION SYSTEMS:
A. To the extend feasible, use fixed local exhaust ventilation connected to HEPA filters or other collection systems, approved by a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
B. If air from exhaust ventilation is recirculated into the work area, the system shall have two (2) high efficiency (HEPA) filter systems (one for back-up) with reliable controls and shall be capable of automatically switching from primary to secondary filter system. Air may be recirculated only where exhaust to the outside is not feasible or as requested by Contractor.
C. If Contractor elects to recirculate exhaust ventilation (dust collection) air from within reservoir or required containment. Contractor shall request to do so in writing with a complete description of system, components, and control diagrams in accordancey with Section 01340 - Shop Drawings and Product Data.
